I spend hours each week traveling to different neighborhoods around the city. One of my
major interests is food and drink so I figured it would be a natural blog post. Let’s talk food!
Here are some of my Vancouver favorites based on area with listings in those neighbourhoods!
Main St
Sun Sui Wah – Vancouver’s top dim sum. So many varieties that are fresh, tasty and well priced
- a true authentic experience. http://www.sunsuiwah.com/en_home.html
Kafka’s Coffee and Tea – Possibly the best coffee in Vancouver and their baked goods change
daily. This recently opened coffee spot will be a Main Street staple for years to come! I love
great coffee and Kafka’s is on my list of places to stop by when I am in the area. I actually had
an advance preview of their barometrically calibrated espresso prior to their opening and what a
coffee!! http://www.kafkascoffee.ca/

Kitsilano
Grounds For Coffee – The best cinnamon roll in the city and sinfully delicious. Watch out, they
are addictive! http://www.groundsforcoffee.ca/

Cambie
Las Tortas – Mexican sandwiches. This place was a nice surprise & not your typical Mexican
fair. Their sandwiches are packed full of ingredients and are a perfect lunch for a hot summer
day. No frills and everything is served in a paper bag – Mexico to go! http://www.lastortas.ca/
Peaceful Restaurant – Ok, until I moved to Fairview, I had no idea that there was an unofficial
noodle war going on between 2 handcrafted noodle restaurants. What I love about Peaceful is
that it is delicious northern Chinese cuisine and the staff have such pride in their food. My favs
are the beef roll and the cumin lamb with bladesheared noodles.

Point Grey
Burgoo – Your search for comfort food ends here - every item on the menu is made to order and
it’s darn delicious. The after school special or the tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwich hits
the right note every time. http://www.burgoo.ca/
There you go - now you know some of the places that I go to when I am out working or chilling.
I will keep you posted on new interesting places that I come across.
Have a great week,
Glen
